Flaxen Chestnut Coat Color DNA: e/e A/A

Sire: Kristofer-Nugget
Dam: Maneline Victory March
PEDIGREE
This young colt is the first foal that we planned the breeding for, purchasing a stallion from the US and breeding him to one of our mares with a rich pedigree of old blood, wonderful temperament, and lots of bone. Little Nugget's sire, Kristofer-Nugget only produced this one foal for us before we lost him too soon. We are pleased with Nugget's conformation to date, and will continue assessing him as he progresses toward adulthood. We feel he could posses the qualities we are seeking in a herd sire, so we are including him as a prospect on our Stallion page. Nugget is friendly and curious, always eager to approach people. He carries a lot of bone and is well balanced with a nice laid back shoulder which lends to an upright neck-set, he also shows nice depth of hip and a reasonably short back. He has a magnetic presence, catching and holding the attention of everyone who has seen him, he very much reminds us of his sire Kristofer-Nugget, even at this young age. Nugget shows nice action at the trot and a nice smooth canter, I hope to get some video of him in the near future.
Stallion Prospect is a hard term to define, it is true that any colt can be one and it is dependent upon the opinion of the person who uses the term. For us, it has to be a well planned pedigree with a strong dam line, wonderful conformation, good character and showing good movement or talent to be a stallion. A stallion must be one of the best examples of the breed, and if they can't deal with the hormones, it doesn't matter how nice they are, they will be gelded. The foals that are VERY special will be impressive from the minute they are born and they simply reconfirm our high opinions of them as they mature and progress. They have that magnetic presence that captures you from the first moment you see them and causes you to obsess about having one just like them. Some stallions are an excellent example of their breed, they move well, they are well put together and perhaps they also have a successful competition/show career, but they produce mediocre youngsters on a consistent basis. “A prepotent stallion or mare is one which can be matched with a variety of different strains and yet consistently produce quality athletes. Prepotent stallions possess genotypes (genetic constitution) which are transmitted via dominant genes; thus their progeny resemble each other in appearance (phenotype). Simply put, they dominate other strains and their physical features are visible in their progeny.” (Ken McLean, pedigree consultant). A prepotent stallion can truly be called an "Improvement Sire" and he will hold an important place in many breeding programs.
Nugget's breeding is 100% Foundation and is a wonderful combination of old Morgan bloodlines. His pedigree includes Archie O, Red Correll, Ben Franklin, multiple lines to Linsley, Winterset, Troubador of Willowmoor, Jubilee King and Romanesque.
